Based in Rockland, Maine, Association for Maritime Preservation(AMP) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation actively engaged in preserving significant historic sailing vessels and their maritime history through education and preservation projects. AMP was created out of the passion for touching, feeling, seeing and experiencing history and is committed to historic and environmental stewardship.

Our mission is to preserve and restore working historic wooden sailing vessels, other examples of maritime history, their places, structures, vessels, and artifacts, through experiential learning and exemplary stewardship and to educate others about the skills, arts and crafts related to maritime work and values.
